Revised Opening Scene
Opening Script: in our opening scene we watch our male detective writing a case study of a murder 30 years ago here is what he writes.
Detective no 1: 14 of July 1962, the Rosie Black case. her Body was found by a local laborer in the early hours of the morning, her neck was heavily bruised and we discovered ropes draped in a nearby barn with strands of her hair discovered within the noose. We Cannot be sure but we believe this was the cause of death and there is evidence that she was unconscious at the time she died, we cannot rule out suicide but the evidence suggests otherwise. On

We Cannot be sure but we believe this was the cause of death and there is evidence that she was unconscious at the time she died, we cannot rule out suicide but the evidence suggests otherwise. On
inspection of the body we discovered no flesh wound so the blood discovered in the barn is therefore being treated as unrelated, though not unsuspicious. Despite my own suspicions, no evidence has come to light on the case. The locals, though not openly uncooperative, seem to be withholding some information, as if they were scared of something. My initial suspicions cannot be confirmed and as a result the suspect is still at large.
Detective no 2: My initial suspicions cannot be confirmed and as a result the suspect is still at large. I regret that i cannot conclude this last case and i cannot get closure.

Plot Summary
We begin with a shot of an older male detective, who is narrating the opening scene by reading the case study of a murder in the past. The detective stops talking and a female detective in the current day takes over narration in the present day. Then we fade from the female detective and focus on a long shot of a girl walking into a barn. the girl sees blood on on the floor of the barn in a point of view shot. the girl turns to see a dark figure silhouetted in the barn doorway. a chase scene in sues with the use of tracking shots. the scene finishes with the figure stopped at the edge of a forest which the girl has ran into, as if he is reluctant to enter the wooded area. the screen goes black with the chaser outlined in white with the heading CLOSURE.

Initial plot ideas
We have thought that we could use a shot of a man (detective) reading a case file in the past, the original case file and then a cross cut to the present day with a women reading the old case files. Next switching to a cross cut a old fraid rope, in the barn swinging, with the man reading the case files. We thought that Mr Owen could be the man and the women could be Miss King.
we thought we could use the voice over as the peersons thoughts so it could be a different actor to voice actor.
we could use sub titles
Our final idea is to beging with a shot of a man, Mr Owen, writting a case file of the murder 20 years ago. Then we see a shot of a woman reading the case file in the present. Then we fade to an old rope swinging in a barn, symbalising the murder weapon of the past killings. Then we see a chase scene, starting in a forest and ending with the woman trapped in a barn. We then see a new rope, already tied in shape of noose, hanging over a beam and resting on the floor, clearly being prepeard for use.

Examples of other A-Level Media films
we were looking at some privious films and we thought that the shot in the burnt out car in this film was really good and we could do somthing similar for our film, we would even use the same car in the same woods.
Possible locations
Our group we thought we could use 2 or 3 different locations for example we could use daves farm and mabe rippers alley in hedingham.
After some deliberation we decided to definatley film in Wickham st pauls and acompanying countryside.

Some of our ideas.
first of all we thought we should start with happy music but then we decided that to set the scene in less than two minutes we will need some slow suspensive music. We thought maybe something like the dead silence theme song or just take some ideas from it and compose our own.
we thought about filming down an alley, or in an old building with a man and a girl. we thought of a chase or follow scene but then thought that this wouldn't be original but then we thought if we made it original it might not be very good, so we could try and do something original and unoriginal at the same time.
